Mary Baker Eddy: A Spiritual Journey
Selections
from Longyear's collection of photographs, letters and artifacts along
with interactive learning stations and media presentations tell the
story of Mary Baker Eddy and her unique spiritual journey from
rural beginnings to the world stage where she delivered messages which
brought healing and regeneration to thousands. The exhibit traces her
lifelong study and love of the Bible, her work writing Science
and Health with key to the Scriptures and her founding of
the Church of Christ, Scientist.
Reflecting the best in modern communication, the
exhibit is colorful and rich in texture, design and experience. The
multimedia orientation theater engages visitors in the reality of Mrs.
Eddy's spiritual journey. An interactive computer learning station
involves visitors in appreciating revisions she made to Science
and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
In the Baker Family exhibit, visitors encounter the
humor, lively banter and genuine affection that characterize Mrs.
Eddy's family.
